LINDEN, Texas—Kathryn Maurine Carter, 86, of Linden died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Carter was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Linden. She was a homemaker and a member of Linden Chapter 576 Order of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church of Linden. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Carter.
