Barney L. Pennington Sr., 82, of Texarkana, Ark., and Jack’s Isle near Ashdown, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at his home in Texarkana.

Mr. Penning-ton was born Jan. 28, 1926, in Hosston, La. He was retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant and the Army and a member of First Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by one wife, Maxine Pennington.
