Maxine Gillespie, 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Gillespie was born Aug. 2, 1920, in Frederick, Okla. She was a homemaker and a Presbyterian.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Thompson; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dale Gillespie of Texarkana, Kent and Brenda Gillespie of Terrell, Texas, and Larry and Sandy Gillespie of Woodstock, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Orville Farren officiating. ...
