CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Bernard A. Shelby, 80, of Wills Point, Texas, formerly of Red River County, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Shelby was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Manchester, Texas. He was preceded in death by one son, Carl Wayne Shelby.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mullins Shelby of Wills Point; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Howell Kines of Edgewood, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Helen Shelby of Edgewood; five grandchildren, Amy Phillips, Asa Shelby, Fannie Knox, Shelby Hodges and Shayne Kines; and five great-grandchildren.
