Bessie O. Russell, 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Russell was born Feb. 17, 1920. She was retired from Day & Zimmermann Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Walter Russell; and one son, Robert Russell.

Survivors include two grandsons, Robert Russell of Texarkana and Richard Russell of Dallas; one great-granddaughter, Sarah Russell of Foreman, Ark.; and one sister, Hollie Cruson Wall of Texarkana.
