James Varnell “Red” Griffith, 84, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Griffith was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Redwater, Texas. He was retired from Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. and a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hensley Griffith of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Willy Boroski of Round Rock, Texas; two sons, Kent Griffith of Dallas and Tracy Griffith of Texarkana; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Griffith; one brother, Bobby Griffith of Texarkana; three grandchildren, Lee Griffith ...
