John William “Joe” Freeman, 71, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Freeman was born Oct. 24, 1937, in Gurdon, Ark. He was owner of Freeman’s Used Cars.

Survivors include his wife, Marvelle Freeman of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Steve Hickerson of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Pansy Freeman of Texarkana; four grandchildren, Brooke Mooneyhan of Little Rock and Dusty Hickerson, Jay Freeman and Kaitlin Freeman of Texarkana; and three great-grandchildren.
