William A. Heflin Sr., 95, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Heflin was born Dec. 27, 1912, in Batesville, Ark. He was a member of Texarkana Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Katherine Heflin.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Arvel Jr. and Marie Heflin of Texarkana; one grandson, Chris W. Heflin of Texarkana; one granddaughter, Cathy Hamilton of Texarkana; one great-grandson, Shawn Bruce of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.
