Guenvoil Ella “Gwen” Deaton, 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, in a local hospital.

Miss Deaton was born Jan. 1, 1920, in Patmos, Ark. She was retired from Eastern Airlines and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.

Survivors include one sister, Zilpha Larsen of Texarkana; one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Hillman and Billie Deaton of Texarkana; two nieces, Peggy Elliott and Lori Kinkeade; four nephews, Phillip Deaton, Brett Larsen, Alan Harris and Gary Harris; and a number of other relatives.
