HOPE, Ark.—Johnnie Mae Young, 87, of Hope died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in Hope.

Mrs. Young was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Emerson, Ark. She was a former member of Pine Hill CME Church and a member of Beebe Memorial CME Church. She was preceded in death by four grandsons.

Survivors include her husband, Percy Young; two sons, Freeman Criner and Charles Criner; two daughters, Joyce Woods and Brenda Hamilton; five brothers; one sister; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
