DE QUEEN, Ark.—Joseph Othel “Pap” Gaddis, 93, of Dierks, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, in a Mena, Ark., nursing home.

Mr. Gaddis was born Oct. 9, 1915, in Sevier County, Ark. He was a retired logger, a Mason, a Baptist and a World War II Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vondal Alexander Gaddis, on March 5, 1994.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy C. and Kay Gaddis of Texarkana; two daughters, Donna Hefner and Betty Johnson of Mena; three sisters, Mary Opal Metz of Mena, Ina Call of Clovis, N.M., and Elaine Cooper of Tulsa, O...
