ATLANTA, Texas—Rachel Josephine Blackwell, 79, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, in Texarkana.

Mrs. Blackwell was born May 12, 1929, in Haynesville, La. She was retired from Texas Instruments and a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Blackwell; and one son, Michael Blackwell.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Suzan and Jeff Bellew of Texarkana; one daughter-in-law, Develle Blackwell Smith of Memphis; one sister-in-law, Joanna Blackwell of Dallas; two granddaughters, Emily Bellew and Joanna Bell...
