MIDLAND, Texas—Ed Baucum, 69, of Midland died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Baucum was born March 11, 1939, in Atlanta, Texas. He was retired from Texas Highway Department and a member of Alamo Heights Baptist Church.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hanner Funeral Service in Atlanta with Scott Neathery officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery under direction of Ellis Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Easter Seals, Alamo Heights Baptist Church or the charity of choice.
