Russell F. Bailey, 89, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, in a Shreveport, La., hospital.

Mr. Bailey was born April 25, 1919, in Phelps City, Mo. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Faith Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marshlete Bailey.
