DE QUEEN, Ark.—Loretha Simpson Whipple Duke, 93, of Horatio, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Duke was born Sept. 25, 1915, in Jadie, Okla. She was a homemaker and member of State Line Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Frank Whipple and John Duke; and one daughter, Doris Halliday.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Billy Willis of De Queen; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
