NASHVILLE, Ark.—Luther Avon Lipscomb, 79, of Nashville died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Lipscomb was born June 2, 1929, in Center Point, Ark. He was the former owner of Lipscomb Service Station, a retired Nashville school bus driver and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Frances G. Andrews Lipscomb; one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Jesse Smith of Nashville; three grandsons, Shawn Rigler of Hope, Jason Rigler of Nashville and Cody Smith of Langley, Ark.; and a number of other relatives.
