Tillman B. Johnson Sr., 97, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Johnson was born May 24, 1911, in Stamps, Ark. He was retired from an insurance claims company, former Chief Deputy Sheriff of Miller County, Ark., former member of Texarkana, Ark., Housing Authority Board, member of First United Methodist Church and World War II veteran.
