Vernon Lee Jackson, 64, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Jackson was born March 23, 1944, in Murfreesboro, Ark. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Baptist Church and a Vietnam War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Delbert Jackson; and one daughter, Cindy Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Starks and Vicky Jackson; one special friend, Elsie Palmore of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.
