MURFREESBORO, Ark.—J.C. Halcomb, 80, of Delight, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, in a Little Rock hospital.

Mr. Halcomb was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Amity, Ark. He was a deacon with Liberty Hill Baptist Church and a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Halcomb of Delight; one son, Chuck Halcomb of Delight; two daughters, Gwen Shaw of Delight and Brenda White of New Hope, Ark.; three sisters, Tiny Nolen of Pisgah, Ark., Ruth Stone of Delight and Pat Dean of Camden, Ark.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
