John Mitchell “Tuff John” Keener Sr., 71, of Ogden, Ark., died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Keener was born March 24, 1937, in Mandeville, Ark. He was a high explosive supervisor at Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant and member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ever Lois Keener of Ogden; three sons, Bobby Keener of Atlanta, Texas, John Keener of Texarkana and Aaron Keener of Clarksville, Texas; three daughters, Sheila Rayfield and Bridgette Rayfield of Arlington, Texas, and Shannon Keener of Texarkana; one brother, Henry B.
