Margaret Evans Mathews, 69, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Mathews was born May 2, 1939, in Oneonta, N.Y. She was a retired attorney and a member of Walnut Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Dr. David Steele of Texarkana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. David and Margaret Mobley of Sarasota, Fla., and Mark and Karen Mobley of Houston; one brother and sister-in-law, T.W.
