HOPE, Ark.—James Charles Patterson, 73, of Moreno Valley, Calif., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, in Moreno Valley.

Mr. Patterson was born July 8, 1935, in Hope. He was a Baptist minister, a barber, and a member of Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jeff Patterson and Darren Patters.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Patterson; two daughters, Debra Walker and Marrissa Patterson of Perris, Calif.; three sons, Dwayne Patterson, De’Andre Patterson and Mario Patterson of Perris; one brother, Leroy Miller; one sister, Ethel Curry of Los Angeles; 12 grandchild...
