Raymond L. Burns, 74, of Texarkana, Ark., died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Burns was born Jan. 11, 1934, in Texarkana. He was a retired Air Force master sergeant and a member of Billy T. Norton VFW, VVA Local 278, and American Legion Post 2558.

Survivors include his wife, Nelwyn Burns of Texarkana; two sons, Tommy Burns of Longview, Texas, and Justin Burns of Dallas; three daughters, Jacqueline Smith of Texarkana, Marilyn Burns of Longmont, Colo., and Valerie Martin of Allen, Texas; one sister and brother- in-law, Nellie and Les Schanfish of Moline...
