MARYVILLE, Mo.—Clarence Paul Gockel, 75, of Stanberry, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, in a Stanberry nursing home.

Mr. Gockel was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Axtell, Kan. He was a farmer, a carpenter at Benedictine Convent in Clyde, Mo., a member of Tri-C American Legion Post 464, Knights of Columbus and St. Columba Catholic Church, all in Conception Junction, Mo., and a Korean War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kristin Ginther.
