NASHVILLE, Ark.—Joe Dean Carpenter, 69, of Nashville died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Carpenter was born Nov. 20, 1939, in Enon, Ark. He was a retired USDA poultry grader and a Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, song leader and deacon of Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Peden Carpenter of Nashville; two sons, Kendall Carpenter and Kevin Carpenter of Nashville; two daughters, Connie Williams of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, and Karin Crow of Valley Springs, Ark.; three brother...
