DALLAS—John Claude Sample, 73, of Plano Texas, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008.

Mr. Sample was born Sept. 23, 1935, in Ashdown, Ark. He was retired manager of Dallas National Accounts office of Aetna Life & Casualty and a member of Stonebrier Community Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Rana Sample; and one stepson, Kelly Truitt.
