DEKALB, Texas—Burl Wells McDougal, 44, of Avery, Texas, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. McDougal was born Jan. 20, 1964, in Shreveport, La. He was an employee of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., a member of United Steelworkers of America Local 752, a Baptist and a Marine veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Vona McDougal of Avery; one son, Michael Dillon McDougal of Avery; one daughter, Sarah Kate McDougal of Avery; his father, Harold McDougal of Ashdown, Ark.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Bobby and Michele McDougal of Ashdown and Billy McDougal...
