HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—D.W. “Dallas” Whitmore, 89, of Daingerfield, Texas, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, in a Bedford, Texas, nursing home.

Mr. Whitmore was born June 12, 1919, in Cason, Texas. He was retired from Lone Star Steel and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Whitmore Brown.
