HOPE, Ark.—Christopher Richard “Chris” Stroud, 31, of Hope died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Stroud was born July 15, 1977, in Hope. He was a musician, a former member of New Jack and the Rippers band and a member of White Oak Grove Baptist Church, DeAnn, Ark.

Survivors include his parents, Jan and Jim Rhodes and Richard and Carol Stroud of Hope; one brother, Nick Hammond of Hope; his grandparents, Elva Smith of Prescott, Ark., and George R. and Donnie Stroud of Hope; his stepgrandparents, Pat Rhodes of Hope and Peggy Spell of Blevins, Ark.; and a number o...
