Lula Mae Johnson, 86, of Hooks, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, in Hooks.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 18, 1922, in Hooks. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Greater St. John Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Roy, Melvin, James and Billy of Hooks and Tommy of Palo Alto, Calif.; three daughters, Dorothy of Palo Alto, Ora of Hooks and Annie of Mesquite, Texas; two sisters, Octavia Jackson and Cozetta Spratt of Texarkana; 34 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 35 great-great-grandchildren.
