Marjorie Jane Lochner, 89, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Lochner was born July 6, 1919, in Herscher, Ill. She was a retired teacher with the Longview, Texas, School District, a volunteer for the Literacy Council, Texarkana Museum System and the Republican Women, and a member and choir member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lochner.
