Russell Edward Gideon, 59, of Foreman, Ark., died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Gideon was born Sept. 29, 1949, in Texarkana. He was a member of King Rider Church.

Survivors include four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ben and Linda Sullivan of Crossroads, Ark., Ron and Betty Pemberton of Maud, Texas, Phillip and Mary Bates of Foreman and Willie and Patsy Cooper of Lockesburg, Ark.; and a number of other relatives.
