HOPE, Ark.—Norma Jean Franks Bryant, 77, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in a Texarkana nursing home.

Mrs. Bryant was born May 27, 1931, in Hope. She was a teacher, former director of the remedial and student teacher for elementary education majors programs at Henderson State College, former national officer of Phi Delta Kappa and a member of First United Methodist Church.
