Jerry Lee Kirkpatrick, 65, of Garland City, Ark., died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was born Sept. 29, 1943, in Lindale, Texas. He was a retired guard for the Texas Department of Corrections, a former Texas State Trooper, former Police Chief for the City of Lindale and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by one wife, Deborah Kirkpatrick.
