Luther Henry Matthews, 75, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Matthews was born Oct. 3, 1933, in Texarkana. He was retired from Ben E. Keith Company and American General Life Insurance Company, member of Eylau Baptist Church and a veteran of the Navy.
