NAPLES, Texas—James L. “Jim” Childers, 82, of New Boston, Texas, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Childers was born April 9, 1926, in Tyro, Kan. He was retired from the Army and Red River Army Depot, a member of National Rifle Association, Disabled American Veterans and St. Martin Episcopal Church, New Boston, and an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Beth Childers of New Boston; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy III and Linda Eggenburger of New Boston; one sister, Gyneth Folk of Kansas; three grandchildren, Billy Mac Callahan, Jason Eggenburger ...
