IDABEL, Okla.—Lavern Willis, 77, of Idabel died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, in Paris, Texas.

Mrs. Willis was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Idabel. She was preceded in death by one husband, James Howard.

Survivors include her husband, Jess Willis of Idabel; two sons, Jimmy Howard and Bobby Harold Howard of Idabel; two daughters, Sherry Clay and Mary Lou Hunter of Idabel; four stepchildren, James Willis of Oregon, Jesse Willis of Hollycreek community, Okla., and Kevin Willis and Becky Fletcher of Broken Bow, Okla.; one half-sister, Pat Oliphant of Chanute, Kan.; nine grandchildren; ...
