ASHDOWN, Ark.—Oscar Nelson, 86, of Omaha, Neb., died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, in Omaha.

Mr. Nelson was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Ashdown. He was retired from Wilson’s Packing Co. of Omaha and a member of St. John Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Nelson.

Survivors include his wife, Mae Ella Nelson of Omaha; one stepson, James Walker of Omaha; two sisters, Mary Taylor Giles of Sacramento and Liza Taylor Nolen of San Diego; and a number of other relatives.
