IDABEL, Okla.—Marion “M.A.” Whitten, 54, of Marshall Hill community, Okla., died Monday, July 13, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Whitten was born Aug. 18, 1954, in Marshall Hill. He was an auto mechanic, a member of Tuklo Methodist Church and an Army veteran.

Survivors include four sons, Mike Whitten of Hattieville, Ark., and Mark Whitten, Allen Whitten and Milton Whitten of Idabel; one daughter, Marian Shomo of Idabel; four brothers, Larry Wesley and Leon Wesley of Valliant, Okla., and John Williams and Horace Whitten of Idabel; two sisters, Nancy Temples of Valliant and Wilma...
