The city may never sleep, but some hotel guests do.

And about 3:45 a.m. Thursday guests in hotels around a part of Times Square were jolted by the sound of a bomb.

A small explosive device detonated in the wee small hours and damaged a military recruiting office in the heart of New York City.

No one was injured, thankfully, and the damage was limited to a hole in a plate glass window and the destruction of the office’s front door.

The office serves the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force.
