Today is the day when everyone is Irish.

Yes, it’s St. Patrick’s Day. Montreal will host the world’s oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade. New York will host the nation’s longest. Hot Springs will host the shortest—just one block. The Chicago River will be dyed green, as will the city fountains in Savannah and the beer in taverns and pubs across the country.

Here in Texarkana people will be out wearing green and pinching those who do not. Some will sport festive hats, necklaces or buttons. And some will enjoy a night on the town.
