Arkansas could join its neighbors in Texas and elsewhere as one of the states that offers a sales tax holiday for back-to-school shoppers.

But don’t count those savings just yet.

State Rep. Donna Hutchinson, D-Bella Vista, plans to introduce legislation authorizing just such a break from sales taxes when the Legislature goes back into session next year.
