Most people welcome the summer months. Schools are out, families go on vacations and people tend to spend more time outdoors, whether grilling burgers and steaks or heading to the pool or lake.

But for some summer means suffering. For a few, it means tragedy.

The latest victim of the summer heat is a little 14-month-old girl in West Memphis, Ark.

Authorities were called Monday to a mobile home. The girl was unresponsive. She was taken to a local hospital where she died.
