If you already are bone tired and numbed by the marathon campaign for the presidency, prepare to be pushed over the edge over the next few days. Or turn off the television and computer.

Monday brings with it the opening night of the Democratic National Convention in Denver. The following Monday, Republicans will gather for their convention in Minneapolis.

Expect wall-to-wall coverage of both of these spectacles by the broadcast networks, cable news operations and Web bloggers.

Just do not expect to be informed. The hot air is not only in the helium balloons...
