On Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings recognized just 320 schools across America as 2008 No Child Left Behind-Blue Ribbon Schools, an important designation that shows remarkable dedication to serving the educational needs of students.

Just 320 schools out of the thousands across the land merited the award.

And one is in Texarkana.

Liberty-Eylau Middle School was named as a 2008 Blue Ribbon School by Secretary Spellings, one of only 26 public schools in the state of Texas to receive the honor.
