It’s official: Americans continue to get fatter.

Two-thirds of U.S. adults are overweight or obese, and as many as a third are obese.

That’s the findings of the annual obesity study by the Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Overweight means having more body fat than is generally considered optimal for health. Obesity is determined by the body mass makeup and is generally defined as the point where excess body fat has accumulated to the point where it may affect one’s health.
