What district changes will the parents and students notice this year, other than new construction on various campuses?

The most noticeable change for TISD this year will be the implementation of the 6th grade academies program at Texas Middle School. Following the end of the 2007-08 school year, TMS staff went to work literally the next day to start learning how to teach another way that would assist in opening a student’s mind to the relevancy of how high standards relate to high school and career success.
