It is where crown meets cowboy hat. Where French manicures meet dirt under the nails. Where stilettos meet boots.

It is where queens meet rodeo and for one young local lady, that meeting was last year when she was crowned the Four States Fair and Rodeo Queen.

Miss Four States Fair and Rodeo Queen Katie Crews first got into the mix when she competed for Texarkana Boot and Saddle Club Princess.

She did not win the title that year, but tried again in 2005 and was crowned princess. The next year, she was crowned Boot and Saddle Club Queen.
