Dear Heloise: Is there anything that will remove the scum from inside some of my nicest vases? After leaving flowers in them for a couple of days, the scum gets cloudier and cloudier. When not in use, I’ve filled them with vinegar for several days, but that didn’t help. Any ideas?—Jan Sullivan, Dallas

n Fill the vase with hot water, add a denture tablet or two (depending on the size), let it sit for several hours, then scrub and rinse well.
