Good Morning" by Anna Barr and other art by Arkansas youths are on display in a conference room on the third floor of the Regional Art Center in downtown Texarkana, Texas. The Young Arkansas Artists exhibition is organized by the Arkansas Arts Center and celebrates art made by elementary and secondary students.

The 55th annual Young Arkansas Artists Exhibit at the Regional Arts Center downtown features several local student artists: Anna Barr, Wyatt Harness, Addison Barr and Kaiolahio Sooman. All are students of local art teacher Jeannie Knod Edwards. Addison Barr and another local student, Lydia Clark, were both selected for the 2016 Best of Class award, too.

The traveling exhibition of art will be displayed at the RAC through Nov. 11. It's presented by the Arkansas Arts Center. It's a selection of works from the Young Arkansas Artists exhibition displayed at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock earlier this year. Teachers from across the state submitted student art and 105 works were chosen by the judges.

The annual children's art exhibition features students in kindergarten through 12th grade, and selections of their winning work tour the state.

(The RAC is located at 321 W. 4th St. in Texarkana, Texas. It's open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.)
